Stand Together Foundation Grants Scholarships to Needy Students in Ghana

Financial constraints are a significant barrier to accessing education in certain parts of Ghana, specifically in the Oforikrom municipality, Kumasi.

Families and students in this area struggle to afford the costs of education, putting them at risk of discontinuing their education.

Fortunately, the Stand Together Educational Foundation and Scholarships (STEFSS) has taken a commendable step to help address this problem by offering educational assistance to 11 talented but underprivileged students in the region.

Bridging the Education Gap:

Stand Together Foundation Grants Scholarships to Needy Students in Ghana – 2023

Kusi Martin, a twelve-year-old Ghanaian, is a shining star in his community. He resides in Oforikrom with his loving mother, Madam Patricia Authur, and is the fifth child in a family of nine. Martin’s brilliance and dedication to academics have earned him the admiration of

everyone who knows him. He consistently secures the top position in his class in every examination.

Martin’s journey has been marked by challenges, starting with the loss of his father when he was just a baby. Madam Patricia Authur, his mother, is the sole breadwinner for their large family. She operates a local drink (Apekteshie) business, which, unfortunately, does not generate sufficient income to support all nine children. Additionally, she faces the burden of a lung disease, as confirmed by medical reports, which limits her ability to engage in strenuous work.

Despite the financial constraints, Martin’s exceptional academic potential shines through. Madam Patricia Authur is determined to provide her son with the best education possible, recognizing his unique talents and aspirations.

When she learned about the Stand Together Educational Foundation and Scholarships, Madam Patricia Authur decided to apply for her son’s scholarship. Martin’s outstanding academic performance and the family’s financial circumstances were taken into consideration, leading to the award of a scholarship that will support his education journey.

In gratitude, Madam Patricia Authur expresses her heartfelt appreciation to the Stand Together Educational Foundation and Scholarships for their invaluable support. This scholarship provides hope and a brighter future for Martin, ensuring that his remarkable talents can flourish through education.
