The Day of Health and Celebration
The anniversary event, which unfolded under the clear skies of Oforikrom, was not just a celebration of Stand Together’s achievements but also a testament to its commitment to community development. The highlight of the day was a carefully organized de-worming exercise for children aged 2 to 15 years.
Thanks to the generous support from the Oforikrom Health Directorate, providing to us the necessary de-worming medication. The event was further enriched by the insightful speech on the importance of de-worming by the owner of Bluesave Pharmacy; Nana Okoto whose expertise in the field added substantial value to our initiative.
We had a team of nurses who played a pivotal role in the smooth administration of the drugs, ensuring that each child was given the appropriate care and attention. Each child who participated received a special treat—a nutritious yoghurt drink—as a token of our appreciation.
The event was a resounding success, with 340 children benefiting from the de-worming exercise—168 males and 172 females.
The anniversary event was graced by esteemed guests including the Oforikrom Public Health Nurse, the Oforikrom Chief Imam, the local assemblyman, and other dignitaries.
The photos capture the essence of the event – smiles of healthy children, the enthusiasm of our team, and the unity of our community. Each image is a story of hope, care, and the power of collective effort.
